Day 6: Flam

I think Flam has been my favorite port so far! Flam is a small town of only 300 people surrounded by mountains and waterfalls. The port was very quiet and marked with walking trails, there was a distinct outdoorsy vibe!

While Karen explored the town and the trail around the Kulturpark, I hiked to Brekkefossen, a beautiful waterfall about a mile and a half outside of town. The hike was very scenic along farm roads and the last bit at the trail head was about 500 stone steps to the waterfall lookout. It was well worth the effort as I was misted with waterfall spray at the top!
After rejoining with Karen in town, we did some souvenir shopping and then went back aboard the ship for lunch as the rain really started to come down!

Looking forward to Bergen next, our last port in Norway!
